Inclement weather closes campus but some facilities remain open

Inclement weather continued Wednesday, forcing the closure of SMU's main campus and SMU-in-Plano.

However, a men's basketball game is still on for 7 p.m. today against East Carolina in Moody Coliseum and women's basketball is scheduled to play Tulane at 7 p.m. Thursday in Moody. Read more about the men's game and the women's game.

Although most campus offices are closed Wednesday because of the weather conditions, a few facilities remained open to serve students, including:

• Dedman Center for Lifetime Sports is open until midnight.
• Mac’s Place is open until 7:30 p.m.
• Umphrey Lee Dining Hall is open until 7 p.m.
• Fondren Library is open until 6 p.m.

In addition, SMU police and crews from SMU Facilities Management and Sustainability were on campus to ensure safety.

The Mustang Express shuttles will also attempt to operate.  The route may be altered or service discontinued if street conditions will not permit the shuttles to run safely. DART bus and rail service is reportedly running today.
