Record-breaking snowfall blankets campus

An unexpectedly heavy snowfall Thursday and early Friday gave the campus a break from classes, study and work to have some fun.

An unexpectedly heavy snowfall Thursday and early Friday gave the SMU campus a break from classes, study and work to have some fun. Officially, 12.5 inches fell in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, setting records for the heaviest snowfall for the date, the heaviest single-day snowfall and the heaviest snowfall in a 24-hour period.
